In the world today, it is not enough to have the end picture in mind before starting a journey, it is critically important to have a mind that is always convertible and adaptable while on the journey…
Because, a lot of forces (skill sets, preparedness and thick skin) that the initial fantasy did not allow you to bargain for will keep trickling in to test your readiness, your agility and how informed you are about prizes that come with the reality of the bigger picture in your head.
The truth is, success is a culture – To thread that journey flawlessly, you must learn it by training your mind to learn how to navigate deception of the mind. Because of the relativity of success.
The bigger picture has a way of shrinking the process and presents you a mental picture to cloud your judgment from the start.
But how do you know that you are taking the right decision even though you are filled with unquenchable motivation or some sort of inspiration at the moment?
I saw myself on a bigger stage entertaining my fans with my music. I saw a picture of me rocking the nightlife popping bottles, living a complete lifestyle of a famous rockstar.
But why did I fail in the process? I fell for MENTAL DECEPTION.
I figured I’m wired to function in the world of art but not as a regular musician.
Look!
You can’t afford to be average at what you do. Average individuals have no place in the grand scheme of things in 2025 and beyond.
Stop Being Human: Become “Übermensch” in Your Own World
Every individual has his or her own configuration, but we came to the point of adopting comfortable illusions of the society that we live in. In other words, we become a victim of options we never became part of their orchestrations.
Options that were ordinarily opinions of people that came before us, or are louder in the communication of their personal beliefs are now the societal norms keeping a lot of creatives beneath their own standard of production.
You need to become a “Übermensch” which means “overman” or Super-human”, a term popularized by Friedrich Nietzsche in his philosophical work in 1883
In this age where humans are already competing with machines, the IQ of respected humans is now subjected to questioning because Ai is equally processing information and feedback at the speed of light no matter how cumbersome it is.
You need to start operating at a level where you are not just a person living in his own known world. In your thinking, you are expected to transcend human nature, tap into realms higher than your physical reality and become a master of your own fate.
Start Thinking Your Way Through
We were told to:
- Think BIG
- Dream BIG
- Aim high
- Imagine great stuff
- See beyond yourself
But we were never told to THINK THROUGH.
I see a lot of people in the labour force working 9-5, tying the rate of their output to their remuneration and what they get outside that as tips…
They jump from one job to the other looking for what they call “better offer”. They do this for their first 10 years which is the most active years for every professional and still no fulfillment.
Their focus is what they are to get from whatever system they are plugging into, not what they are dispensing for the system.
They are led by motivation and not conviction.
When your inner focus is on what you can’t control, you are setting yourself up for an endless, and tedious journey.
When people hide under the illusion of motivation, what they are seeking is a feeling of what the end result is going to be to see whether its process is worth their energy or not.
In most cases, no journey in this life is easy or worth embarking on, it takes from you sacrifices like your time, attention, inner conviction, discipline, valuable resources and ZERO MOTIVATION.
But when you are thinking it through, you already know you have an assignment that your life depends on, regardless of what the outcome is, you know you are not losing anything, rather you are stacking up experiences needed for a greater journey. You are so bent on getting started without any sort of motivation.
Curiosity as Your Greatest Asset
The greatest guys in any industry in the world today are greatest thinkers–they see the unseen, they conceive irregular ideas, they take risks in most cases, and they are uncalculated… Because what you can calculate is regular and can be done by anybody.
They are super-humans who have curiosity as their only winning card in the game of life.
You admire them, but you don’t know what it costs them to be on that pedestal…
They unlearn everytime as against what you were told which is to learn
Unlearning is a phase you get to that you completely lose the key to its door–You get locked in for life. It’s an unending journey.
When you are unlearning, you are in a phase of your life where you are fully active and in full consciousness of your being – in you, you have a spirit of discernment governing your options and decisions.
You are letting go of old principles that no longer cut it, and you’re exposing yourself to a new principle to counter the old.
Still in that consciousness, you are aware that nothing is complete and perfect in this life…
As you completely accept the new rules to relegate the old, you are accepting both the positive and the incompleteness of the new, that will take you a journey into another form of consciousness through curiosity to look for a replacement to counter the incompleteness in the recent one you just adopted.
You see life huh?
This is what the guys you celebrate understand that many do not.
It is a cycle of experiences that are laced with positive and negative that must be penetrated through curiosity and discernment to keep being on the journey.
Foolishness and wisdom are the same and not the direct opposite of each other… They are both responding to energy with different capacities, learning spirit, and resources…
The same way one could kill to let go, is the same way one could let go just to let go – Making judgment with different mental capacities and resources.
Some saw suicide to escape their so called reality, some saw drinking and indulge in patronizing sex workers to let go of their worries, while some read to expand the gate of their minds and walk the uncharted map of their known world.
Everything rises and falls on curiosity. If you have not been using it to your strength, find it and hold on to it.
